Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Senior ResearcherDepartment:
Fisher College | Operations and Business AnalyticsThe candidate will be expected to work closely with the PI to play a leading role on a team that has two broad objectives: 1) creating drug-level quality and resilience scores for multiple pharmaceutical products and 2) perform research on the drivers of higher or lower quality risk and resilience.
This is a large project with multiple research projects and extensive data collection and analysis efforts. The Candidate will be required to execute against broad objectives and receive only "general guidance". Independently lead research. Develops and implements new or revised research methods. Assists PI in research & development efforts of new research projects. Works closely with PI to determine and develop goals of projects. Present research results at national and international scientific conferences. Investigate potential sources of funding and make recommendations to the PI. They will also have this autonomy: Completes routine work independently; receives general guidance on new projects. Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives They will exchange information on sensitive matters.
Candidates will need to be able to apply industry knowledge to strengthen research objectives and to achieve the goals of the research project.
Required Qualifications:
PhD degree Operations Management, Data Analytics, Pharmacology, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Strong data analytics, research and writing skills. Some level of understanding of the context under study.
5-6 years of relative experience. This experience could include time actually working in the management of pharmaceutical supply chains (pre-, during or post-Ph.D.), and/or performing academic research on these supply chains, and/or data analysis as described above.
The desired traits include careful attention to detail, diligence, and ability to do most work independently.
The desired skills include being able to review and structure a literature base, deal with large amounts of data in different forms, perform cutting-edge analytical techniques for causal inference and prediction, and writing papers for both an academic audience and for practitioners (managers and/or policymakers).
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working with larger databases from multiple sources; deep knowledge of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry; demonstrated quantitative skills; demonstrated attention to detail; demonstrated strong communication ability; demonstrated ability to create publishable academic research; demonstrated ability to publicly present research results.
Additional Information:
The hiring range for this job profile is $ 64,300- $ 84,550. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
