THE JOB:

As a Cook at the Mansion inside MGM Grand, you will bring your culinary artistry to life, preparing exquisite Asian dishes for our guests. Your attention to detail and outstanding service will enhance the guest experience, creating lasting impressions. By understanding and catering to each guest's unique preferences and stories, you will ensure that every meal is memorable, crafting WOW moments that will last long after their stay.

STARTING RATE: $26.0483 an hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of food products and expertly apply culinary techniques specifically in wok preparations.

• Identify and safely operate a variety of kitchen equipment suited for high-volume service environments.

• Maintain thorough menu knowledge and pay close attention to detail with plate presentation to enhance guest satisfaction.

• Collaborate with kitchen leadership and staff to execute high-quality service consistently.

• Demonstrate solid understanding and preparation skills for base sauces, stocks, and soups essential to both kitchen types.

• Work cohesively as a team to assist with all guest needs and inquiries, ensuring a positive dining experience.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Work varied on-call shifts, including weekends and holidays

• Prior experience as a cook with a specialty in Asian cuisine, preferably in a fine dining kitchen

• Proficient ability to speak either Mandarin or Cantonese

• Familiarity with the dynamics of working in a resort or casino environment, adept at managing high-energy guest interactions
