Job Description
The Production Manager is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and resource stewardship for manufacturing department in a high-volume manufacturing site located in Streetsboro, OH. This role is accountable for driving timely and impactful improvements to the operating environment and for delivering performance at or above expectations for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and engagement. This position will lead the execution of cross-functional strategies and plans that ensure we execute the company’s manufacturing excellence roadmap. The goals of this role are to manage structured change and combine long-term thinking with near term actions and decisions.

This position reports to the Plant Manager and will have supervisors as direct reports. 2nd shift hours are Monday- Thursday from 4:30pm-3:30am. During busy season you will be required to work on Friday from 2:30pm-10:30pm.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and maintain a safe manufacturing environment by ensuring OSHA compliance, promoting safety initiatives, conducting incident investigations, and reinforcing safe work practices.
- Drive product quality standards by overseeing QC programs, monitoring production specifications, and resolving customer and process quality concerns.
- Analyze operational data, metrics, and KPIs to identify trends, solve problems, and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and productivity.
- Manage daily production operations across multiple lines, ensuring staffing levels, labor planning, and scheduling align with production goals and delivery timelines.
- Partner with maintenance and scheduling teams to maximize equipment utilization, coordinate preventative maintenance, and ensure on-time product delivery.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and manufacturing excellence programs while holding teams accountable for operational performance and results.
- Control operational costs by identifying efficiencies, reducing waste, supporting budget preparation, and driving year-over-year COGS reductions.
- Provide strong leadership, coaching, and employee support to supervisors and team members, fostering accountability, engagement, and high team performance.
- Communicate effectively across departments regarding EHS expectations, production goals, operational updates, and employee relations matters.
- Prepare and distribute operational and production reports while supporting employee relations, corrective actions, investigations, and other leadership responsibilities as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is highly desired, preferably in engineering or business. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 7 years of significant, relevant professional experience with an additional 4 years in a leadership capacity.
