Main Objective:

The Senior Manager – Product Communications leads the digital communications strategy for product marketing, promotion and education, leveraging a strong sales and marketing background in the healthcare technology space. This team leadership role is highly collaborative and requires the expertise and capacity to influence and advise key stakeholders, business partners and cross-functional teams.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Manage Product Communications team responsible for developing, presenting and executing strategic communication plans that support the needs of product teams, medical education and patient education initiatives.
  • Lead the global alignment and collaboration on all product communications campaigns and related social media initiatives.
  • Develop strong partnerships and collaboration with Product Management, National Sales, Marketing, senior leadership and other stakeholders; provide strategic guidance and recommendations based on data-driven, actionable insights.
  • Engage regularly with Arthrex President and Founder to present strategic direction related to digital campaigns, market dynamics related to digital promotion and creative opportunities to grow HCP technology adoption.
  • Conduct ongoing market research and serve as subject matter expert on competitive landscape and strategies; stay abreast of all relevant digital marketing and social media trends, opportunities and best practices.
  • Oversee all strategies on product and medical education-related social media channels; cultivate operational and procedural structures to support scalability and efficiencies for growing social media programs.
  • Oversee the delivery of performance analytics and ongoing recommendations related to product communications campaigns and initiatives to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Partner with Communications sub-teams and interdepartmental, cross-functional teams to produce a continuous pipeline of creative content that increases brand awareness and aligns with overall business objectives.
  • Ensure all product communications represent Arthrex brand standards and align with regulatory, legal and compliance regulations and considerations for the medical device industry.
  • Serve cross functional roles within Communications, as needed or assigned. 

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in marketing, communications, or related field
  • 10 years of medical device and/or consumer product industry experience required
  • 10 years of related experience in the sales and marketing space
  • Experience managing a team in a corporate environment

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Strong business acumen with ability to incorporate insights from the business into strategic communication plans and overall creative output
  • Highly collaborative and demonstrated emotional intelligence in team leadership roles
  • Ability to be resourceful and handle multiple stakeholders with changing priorities
  • Deadline- and detail-oriented with strong initiative and the ability manage multiple projects/processes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working successfully with cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional time and project management skills
  • Foreign language skills such as Spanish and German a plus

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

  • Macintosh or PC platform
  • Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver)
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
