This experienced Industrial Engineer will support the manufacturing site in Richardson, TX as a partner with our dedicated people leaders to experience meaningful work. This role will be performed Onsite at our Collins Aerospace location in Richardson, TX & may be eligible for relocation.

What You Will Do 

  • Support the manufacturing floor, optimize layouts, improve processes and create tooling

  • Work with product transitions and support including layout reviews

  • Establishes the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient sequence of operations and work flow

  • Plan the sequence of operations and procedures and documents manufacturing standard work and routings

  • Plan the allocation of resources, materials and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment.

  • Perform research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification or electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems.

  • Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.

  • May assist facilities engineers (planning and design of facilities) and materials logistics (packaging design).

Qualifications You Must Have  

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance Preferred
