The Revenue Operations (ROPS) team is the financial engine that powers DaVita’s ability to provide life-saving care to over 200,000 patients. You will join the Yield Optimization team, a high-performing group of strategists, analysts, and operators responsible for maximizing collection speed and recovery rates. In this high-visibility role, you will partner directly with the head of Collection Operations to build a tech-driven capability roadmap, leverage AI to transform operations, and drive initiatives that directly impact DaVita's bottom line.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Strategy & Innovation: Develop and execute the long-term strategy for commercial insurance collections. Identify operational gaps and lead the implementation of transformative solutions—including AI, OCR, and predictive modeling—to accelerate cash flow and reduce bad debt.
Business Intelligence & Analytics: Lead the development of advanced reporting and business intelligence capabilities. Translate complex data into actionable insights that guide executive decision-making and drive operational performance.
Project Portfolio Management: Oversee a portfolio of high-impact, cross-functional projects. Partner effectively with Legal, IT, Finance, and Payer Contracting to remove barriers and drive yield initiatives to completion.
Operational Partnership: Act as a strategic thought partner to the head of Collection Operations. Diagnose bottlenecks and deploy targeted interventions to improve speed-to-collect.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a high-performing team of managers and analysts. Foster a culture of critical thinking, accountability, and continuous improvement while developing the next generation of ROPS leaders.
Education and Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; Master's or MHA preferred
+5 years of experience
Demonstrated experience across downstream revenue cycle functions such as billing, claims submission, denials, accounts receivable, collections, and partner workflows (eligibility/authorizations that influence downstream outcomes).
Prior experience in management consulting, internal consulting, strategy, or transformation role(s) preferred.
Proven ability to diagnose performance issues using structured methods (process mapping, root cause analysis, control points, error-proofing) and translate findings into action.
Experience analyzing denials and revenue leakage—identifying “where errors/slowdowns occur,” prioritizing root causes, and targeting the biggest impact areas.
Comfort defining and tracking operational KPIs (e.g., throughput, accuracy, cycle time, denial rates, A/R aging, cash realization).
Track record of designing and executing initiatives that deliver measurable impact.
People leadership experience managing and developing a team (e.g., analysts, strategy managers, ops improvement leads) strongly preferred.
Approximately 10-15% travel may be required.
