Job Description
- Project management and coordination of brake pad development as assigned.
- Coordinates testing and homologation of brake friction products for global release.
- Use of Bosch PEP process to manage product development projects.
- Uses Bosch Engineering Change Request process to manage product changes as required.
- Works with MKT Product Managers to develop program specific product lines to meet customer requirements.
- Works with the applications manager to assist in product development.
- Develops product specifications as necessary.
- Works with Purchasing and Quality to find, develop and approve new suppliers.
- Reports project, program or part status at monthly Product Development Meetings.
- Prepares reports as necessary to cover project or product status to management.
- Assists in development of supply chain to support new product introductions.
- Keep up to date on continually changing government guidelines.
Qualifications
- BS in engineering, mechanical preferred, others considered.
- 3-5 years experience in automotive product design or process engineering.
- Demonstrated experience in project management required.
- Computer Aided Drafting, AutoCAD, Solid Works or other experience required.
- BOM experience with large scale business systems (like SAP) an advantage.
- Excellent verbal, written, and platform communication skills
- Strong PC skills; Microsoft Excel, Word, Access
