About the role

Who We Are

At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission-critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. So why work at Kyndryl? We are always moving forward – always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy intelligent automation and AI agent solutions across the enterprise. This role bridges low-code platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform) and pro-code frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Azure AI, OpenAI, or open-source agentic stacks). The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with an innovation mindset to enable next-generation, AI-powered business transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement end-to-end automation and AI agent solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse), Copilot Studio, and pro-code stacks.

  • Build agentic AI solutions using LLMs, reasoning engines, memory structures, and orchestration frameworks like LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or Azure AI Foundry.

  • Develop custom AI agents that can plan, reason, and interact across systems using APIs, tools, and multi-turn dialog.

  • Create and manage AI-driven business applications that combine user input, enterprise data, and intelligent responses to improve productivity and decision-making.

  • Integrate with external services and APIs, including Microsoft Graph, RESTful services, and hyperscale AI tools (Azure, AWS, GCP).

  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to identify use cases, gather requirements, and deliver solutions aligned to organizational goals.

  • Stay current on advancements in generative AI, LLMs, and prompt engineering to continuously improve and recommend cutting-edge approaches.

  • Ensure solutions comply with enterprise governance, security, and data privacy standards.

  • Contribute to internal AI communities of practice and support scalable delivery patterns and reusable components.

Kyndryl currently does not require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, however, if you are hired to work at a client, customer, or partner location, you may be required to show proof of vaccination to align with their respective COVID-19 vaccination policies.  Those who believe they are eligible may apply for a medical or religious accommodation prior to the start of employment.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in AI solution development, including process automation, chatbots, or AI agents.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio (or Power Virtual Agents).

  • Hands-on experience with LLM technologies (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI Service, or similar).

  • Experience integrating REST APIs and external data sources in application development.

  • Strong skills in prompt engineering, NLP, and understanding of LLM capabilities and limitations.

  • Familiarity with agent orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel, Haystack, or RAG pipelines).

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate or equivalent certification.

  • Experience with hyperscaler AI services such as Azure Cognitive Services, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex AI.

  • Familiarity with open-source AI toolkits, including Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, or FastAPI.

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control in both low-code and pro-code environments.

  • Experience delivering AI-powered solutions for enterprise workflows such as HR, finance, operations, or IT service management.

  • Exposure to RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) or memory-enabled agent architectures.

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $138,480 to $263,160 based on a full-time schedule.
