We're excited to continue solidifying that foundation as we are looking for a Benefits Technology Sales Coordinator to join our growing Employee Benefits Technology team.

The Benefits Technology Sales Coordinator is a key team member of the National Employee Benefits Technology (EBTech) Department.  The department deploys various software tools to our valued clients and their employees for use in health care reform compliance, automated benefits enrollment, and other needs for automation.  The Coordinator will assist the Business Development Manager with all aspects of department sales processes to support revenue generation.  The incumbent assists with managing ongoing sales development projects for clients and account teams who are exploring technology projects with EBTech. This includes opportunity tracking, analysis, problem solving, working with other team members, and communicating solutions to clients/account teams. The Coordinator must also be very detail and deadline oriented.  The Coordinator works directly with client contacts and account teams.

General Responsibilities:

  • Organize and track business development department leads to support accurate departmental reporting

  • Build trusting and professional relationships with clients, account teams, vendors and carriers to improve client sales opportunities.

  • Develop leads through the following activities with minimal supervision for small to medium-sized clients:

    • Collect and document information about potential leads

    • Perform discovery calls

    • Research compatibilities of available systems between existing benefit programs, carriers, vendors, and client requirements

    • Provide demonstrations of technology systems

    • Develop proposals

    • Answer account team and client questions timely and in a professional manner

    • Communicate proper implementation timeframes, expectations, and deadlines

    • Diligently following up with account teams or clients on prospective sales

    • Finalize contracts of new sales, including working with corporate legal on special requests

  • Support supplemental revenue generating activities through quoting system changes, developing change orders, and diligently following up with account teams and client to complete transactions timely.

  • Work closely with Business Development Manager and other team members as necessary to develop and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to leadership

  • Support the client cancellation process by requesting and tracking loss details, determining final payment details, coordinating the site shut off with relevant departments.

  • Recognize and assign support issues to other department resources that are outside of the scope of business development in a timely manner.

  • Accountable for individual quality assurance on business development activities for low to moderate complexity clients.

  • Anticipate and respond to customer/account team questions as assigned and working directly with customers and account teams

  • Train and mentor future Business Development Analyst and Senior Analyst roles.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum education preferred: Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience. Ability to readily learn and apply new information/concepts.

  • At least 2 years of experience with employee benefits

  • At least 2 years of experience with Benefits Administration or Comparable Software (Employee Navigator preferred)

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite. Experience working with personal computer database applications.
