The Role

We are looking for a skilled Bench Hand Joiner to join an established manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Leeds. The business has over 25 years of experience manufacturing bespoke furniture for the hospitality industry, producing and fitting high-quality furniture for major hotel brands.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced joiner who takes pride in their workmanship and enjoys producing high-quality bespoke furniture. Candidates with previous assembly experience and some experience using woodworking machinery will also be considered, with training available for the right person.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality bench joinery and woodworking, manufacturing bespoke joinery and furniture components to drawings and specifications. The role will involve using a range of hand tools and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently, while ensuring every piece is completed to the required standard of finish.

You will need to be comfortable working from technical drawings and accurate measurements, maintaining a high level of attention to detail throughout the manufacturing process. Keeping the workshop clean, organised and safe will also be an important part of the role.

You will work both independently and as part of a wider production team, managing your workload effectively and ensuring projects are completed within agreed timescales without compromising on quality.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and punctual, with excellent attention to detail and genuine pride in their workmanship. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are important, while being a positive team player is equally valued.

An NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Joinery would be advantageous, although relevant practical experience will also be considered.

What’s on Offer

This is a full-time position paying £16 per hour, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of high-quality and bespoke joinery projects within an established manufacturing environment.

There are also opportunities to develop your skills and progress your career within the business.

If you are an experienced Bench Hand Joiner looking for a long-term opportunity in Leeds, we would like to hear from you
