About the role
Altarum's Division of Population Health is pleased to announce an opening for a Behavioral Health (BH) Research and Technical Assistance (TA) Analyst. The analyst will support a variety of projects within Altarum’s portfolio of behavioral health projects, providing data collection and analysis support, technical assistance, and general project management. The analyst will support the development of deliverables including research reports, presentations, TA products, and client reports.

Responsibilities
- Support the development of curriculum and training materials, and deliver trainings for behavioral health workforce in a variety of settings.
- Provide data collection support to behavioral health research projects, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and site visits.
- Support quantitative and qualitative research support under the guidance of a senior researcher.
- Keep skills and knowledge of the focus area up to date through professional development and other educational methods.
Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s in behavioral health, psychology, public health, or related field. Master’s degree in public health or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of three (3) years of work experience, including specific experience in behavioral health services, policy and programming.
- Experience working with on multiple project efforts simultaneously.
- Experience providing evaluation support or technical assistance to federal and state agencies implementing policies and programs to improve behavioral health services.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability to deliver complex information to a variety of audiences.
- Successful provision of training and technical assistance.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail; flexibility to manage multiple priorities, sometimes simultaneously, under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel approximately 8-10% of the year.
Logisitcal Requirements
- At this time we will only accept candidates who are presently eligible to work in the United States and will not require sponsorship.
- Our organization requires that all work, for the duration of your employment, must be completed in the continental U.S. unless required by contract.
- If you are local to our offices in Arlington, Silver Spring, Novi, or Portland this role will be hybrid (in office on Wednesdays - collaboration days).
- Must be able to work during eastern time unless approved by your manager.
- Employees working remotely must have a dedicated, ergonomically appropriate workspace free from distractions with a mobile device that allows for productive and efficient conduct of business.
