The Peaks Ice Arena is looking for custodians to provide general labor and semi-skilled maintenance work in the cleaning and upkeep of the Peaks Ice Arena.

Pay Rate: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Essential Duties:

• Responsible for working with other custodial staff in cleaning the facility, building interior, and offices.

• Sweep, mop, and clean floors.

• Clean and wash glass, woodwork, and windows.

• Dust and clean furniture.

• Clean ice sheet glass and surrounding arena areas.

• Clean restrooms, locker rooms and other storage areas daily

• Perform other related work as required. 

Minimum Requirements: Any training or experience that demonstrates an ability to perform the work. Previous custodial work is desirable. 

Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Schedule may vary and will be discussed in interview.

Physical/Environmental Factors: Work requires performing manual and physical labor; bending; climbing ladders; lifting medium to heavy objects; being exposed periodically to adverse weather conditions, caustic chemicals and cleaners; and performing other varied physical activities associated with the essential duties of the job.

Pre-employment Testing:  Prior to appointment, applicant will be required to successfully pass a drug screening and background investigation. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screening results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of 6 months.
