About the Team
At TikTok, we strive to make our products available to everyone. On TikTok Mobile Design System team, we work cross-functionally with engineers, designers and product managers to create unified UI frameworks and provide standard user interaction effects for our engineers to build better user facing products.

By joining the team, you will have opportunities to work on variants of projects to improve existing UI components experience, introduce industry leading new User Interface features. You will also have opportunities to build UI foundations and tools for engineers across TikTok.

Responsibilities
- Develop and Maintain Shared UI Framework: Design, develop, optimize, and maintain a shared UI framework that provides unified UI components across multiple iOS applications.
- Enhance User Interface Components: Create and optimize UI components, transitions, interactions, and animations to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with design, product, and other engineering teams to implement and fine-tune user interface elements.
- Code Review and Best Practices: Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and uphold best practices to ensure high-quality code.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring that the UI framework is highly efficient and scalable.
- Documentation and Training: Document frameworks, guidelines, and best practices, and provide training and support to other team members.
- Stay Updated with Industry Trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in iOS development, particularly in UI/UX, and apply this knowledge to continually improve the shared UI framework.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Proficient in Swift and Objective-C
- Strong understanding of iOS SDK, Xcode, and Apple Human Interface Guidelines
- Experience with iOS UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Knowledge of performance testing and optimization techniques

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with UIKit, SwiftUI, Auto Layout, Core Animation, and other iOS-specific frameworks for transitions and animations.
- Familiarity with Apple’s design and UI testing frameworks such as XCTest.
- Experience with the latest iOS features and frameworks (e.g., Combine, ARKit, etc.).

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $112200 - $147000 annually.​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
