Job Description

This individual will be responsible for the efficient operation of the parts warehouse to include responsibility for receiving stocking issuing and control of materials and providing support to production as needed in a timely manner.  This position will provide operational and logistical support and control inventory assets (a total value over $30.0 million) by establishing and enforcing existing policies and procedures.

Job Duties

  • This position will manage and train personnel in all aspects of the inventory control and parts warehouse operation. 
  • Coordinate workflow to ensure an efficient and productive operation that meets the requirements of order fulfilment both internally & externally across all shifts (day, evening, & Saturday).
  • Must ensure timely fulfilment of Parts requests. Supplies and Tools & Jigs requests and Parts Sales Orders. 
  • Must ensure timely fulfilment of Parts orders to 4 Service Centre's of the Americas Region (Bartlett, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Latin America).
  • Coordinate and expediate backorders processing. 
  • Ensure timely fulfillment of kanban parts locations throughout the shopfloor during all shifts. 
  • Direct and prioritize parts warehouse activities to achieve department MBO and daily targets. 
  • Manager and execute cycle count program. Investigate, reconcile, and improve areas of weakness that are identified to meet inventory accuracy goals. 
  • Perform Oracle inventory transactions, Parts Consumption Program, and other applicable repair systems. 
  • Work closely with cross functional teams: Parts Inventory Planners, Production, Facilities, SCM, Engineering and Quality Assurance. 
  • Develop effective operational and logistical policies and procedures for the parts warehouse department. 
  • Continuously re-evaluate the parts storage department layout &equipment for efficiency improvements. Provide support for identifying & implementing such improvements.
  • Continuously evaluate and monitor all warehousing equipment for safety and ergonomic related concerns.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to PPE requirements. 
  • Provide reports as necessary detailing department performance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of three +3 years supervisory-related operational experience in the areas of warehouse operations, inventory control, and/or customer service. 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge preferred.

 

Preferred:

  • Must be very detail oriented, have good analytical skills, have excellent communication skills, have excellent data analysis aptitude, and the demonstrated ability of succeeding in a matrix management environment. 
  • Must have a positive attitude with focus on teamwork and rapid problem resolution as well as the ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Must have user's knowledge of system software preferably Oracle, Data Sweep, Power BI
  • Ability to frequently lift/carry up to35lbs.Ability to frequently push/pull up to 35lbs.
