Overview
All who are selected to participate in CFR’s Blavatnik Internship Program and Robina Franklin Williams Internship Program receive training in the field of foreign policy and international affairs as well as skills training in writing, research, program planning and much more.
The intern will have the opportunity to assist in efforts related to marketing, research, and analytic reporting for the Education department. By actively participating in this project, this intern will gain a deeper understanding managing social media accounts across multiple platforms, developing assets for marketing purposes, and performing analytics reporting to determine ROI (return on investment) of multiple campaigns. The intern will also participate in learning how to creatively educate a diverse audience on these particular topics.
CFR internships are paid, require a 14 - 18 hour commitment, and are filled on a rolling basis.
Please note that all internships are offered on a hybrid (half in the office, half remote) or fully remote basis. All internships are paid positions (no exceptions can be made on this). As such, all interns must have the legal right to work in the United States and be based in the United States for the duration of the internship.
The major responsibilities of this position will include (but are not limited to):
- Assisting with the Education department initiative social media accounts and brand messaging through a variety of platforms
- Researching various channels and accounts with relevant and potential audiences for advertising
- Compiling a database of educational influencers across higher education, high school, and general public audiences
- Assisting with content development for the website and other promotional or advertising materials
- Assisting with the day to day operations of marketing, including social media and analytic reporting
Qualifications
- Undergraduate student focusing on marketing, business, international relations, political science, communications or related field
- Students should have completed the equivalent of four semesters of collee coursework (not including AP classses in high school) by the time they begin an internship
- Relevant office experience preferred, with interest in advertising and market analysis
- Previous web or multimedia, analytics experience a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office and various social media platforms
Pay Rate
$17.00 per hour
