What you will be doing: 

• Verify the identity of individuals seeking access, ensuring that only authorized personnel and approved visitors enter the premises/yard. This involves checking identification badges, verifying credentials, and logging visitor information.
• Manage entry and exit points, ensuring that all movements in and out of the warehouse are authorized and logged.
• Conduct regular patrols throughout the warehouse facility and yard to detect and deter any suspicious activities
• Use surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to monitor different warehouse areas, identifying potential security breaches or unauthorized access.
• In the event of an alarm activation or security breach, investigate the cause of the alarm, assess the situation, and take appropriate action to resolve the issue. This may involve contacting law enforcement authorities or coordinating with onsite personnel to address security concerns.
• Implement measures to prevent theft, damage, or unauthorized removal of goods from the premises. This includes monitoring loading docks, conducting inventory checks, and inspecting outgoing shipments to ensure compliance with security procedures.
• Maintain detailed logs and incident reports documenting their shift activities. This includes recording any security incidents, suspicious activities, or breaches observed during patrols. These reports are essential for documenting security incidents, tracking trends, and providing a record of security activities for future reference.
