This position may offer the ability to work remotely, in Arizona, to include in-office hoteling, based on the department’s business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures. Must have the ability to commute and utilize Phoenix office hoteling space as needed.
Posting Details:Salary: $95,000 - $120,000
Grade: 28

Job Summary:This position will lead the agency's strategic planning and policy efforts; coordinate and submit agency productivity and statistical reports including Comprehensive Performance Measures Report; be responsible for oversight, implementation and continual improvements and updates to the agency's standard work process; act on behalf of the Director and Deputy Director, when requested, and may include attendance at Governor's Cabinet Meetings and external meetings to speak on behalf of the agency; and conduct special assignments as necessary.
This position may participate in projects and other duties as needed and assigned by the Deputy Director.

Job Duties:Reporting to the agency Deputy Director, this position will act on behalf of the Director and Deputy Director, when requested, and may include attending Governor's Cabinet Meetings and external meetings to speak on behalf of the agency; provide divisional and staff oversight of strategic planning and statistical reporting processes. This includes meeting with Administrators, planning and SMART goal setting, discussing performance measures and recommending or accepting solutions for measuring work and productivity.
This position will serve as primary point of contact for liaisons from the Governor's Office of Strategic Planning and Budgeting (OSPB) and the Joint Legislative Budget Committee (JLBC) concerning strategic planning and legislative productivity reports; lead ADOH’s annual strategic planning efforts, including monthly reporting to the Governor’s Office and ensuring our agency is meeting our annual initiatives and annual objective, to fulfill our 5-year strategic plan; conduct business analysis for the agency and its divisions; organize and facilitate the Agency's planning processes, including development, documentation and submittal of Agency Strategic plan to the OSPB. Conduct short to long-term planning; conduct research and analysis on operational, administrative and planning issues and offer advice/alternatives and solutions to Agency management; serve as the agency's liaison with the Governor's Regulatory Review Council (GRRC); assess program requirements for and appropriateness of establishment of Rules for funding sources, and when necessary, will oversee the establishment and adoption of Rules for programs. Will conduct periodic reviews of established Rules to ensure agency compliance with set Rules and recommend amendments to Rules; oversee implementation and continual improvements and updates to the agency’s standard work process; liaison with auditors as necessary to coordinate department responses; and oversee the agency's Statewide Measures, which are a set statewide standards and expectations for operational agency maturity, and have been identified to address important operational priorities, as well as goals of the Department.
