Job Summary:

Epic Community Connect (Community Connect) is a program offered by Epic and is a newly established enterprise program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC). The Community Connect program enables VUMC to extend our instance of Epic to community physicians and/or hospitals across the region.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sr. Application Analyst to play a critical role in the implementation and installation of Epic Cadence and Prelude modules for the Community Connect program. The Sr. Epic Prelude/Cadence Application Analyst will act as a mentor and team lead for the Community Connect Prelude/Cadence team, and must have experience with Epic Cadence, Prelude, and real-time eligibility (RTE). The person in this position must have in-depth, expert knowledge of scheduling and registration workflows including front desk, template build, real-time eligibility, and referrals roles. This position will participate in a 24 x 7 on-call support rotation and will provide ongoing support to our Community Connect clients. This role will also support future Community Connect customers as the program expands beyond our first partner.

Qualifications

Required

  • Must have current Epic Prelude/Cadence Certifications

  • Must be experienced in application build and go-live, along with extensive experience in implementation, workflows, troubleshooting, testing, and support

  • Have good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Must show demonstrative understanding of technical documentation

  • Bachelor's degree

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Designs, builds, installs, configures, and/or develops software to support clinical, administrative, financial and operational workflows.
• Analyzes clinical, administrative, financial or operational workflows supported by the assigned products and their relationship to the technical environment in which they operate.
• May perform analysis and design of supporting technical infrastructures.
• Supports clinical, administrative, financial, revenue, or operational implementations for assigned products which may also include testing and QA, reporting, product life cycle, communication/collaboration with customers and vendors, and training users.
• Assists with onboarding and training as needed.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES
• Business Knowledge (Intermediate): Demonstrates the ability to apply multiple areas of business knowledge to successfully meet broad work objectives. Knowledgeable of the major business units of the company which relate to work responsibilities. Understands and monitors appropriate key business indicators as well as the competition. Able to communicate with users and customers regarding various business functions in an easily understood manner. Able to interpret and draw conclusions from business data. Demonstrates an understanding of overall business perspectives.
• Problem Management (Intermediate): Demonstrates mastery of Incident Tracking and Problem Reporting in practical applications of a difficult nature. Assures that the proper people receive problem reports as soon as detected. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of successfully delivering Incident Tracking and Problem Reporting products and services without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to train and educate by setting the example, giving technical instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job.
