MISSION / SUMMARY:
This position will have the responsibility of covering a region of customers to improve the customer experience. Primary responsibility includes trouble shooting quality issues, supporting volume and margins improvements and training (internal and external) customers. This individual will work closely with the mills and extrusion facility while working through quality issues, product development or new business. Travel is required up to 75% of time.
This role reports directly to the Technical Services Director. The Technical Services Advisor supports the global vision, mission, overall goals and objectives and is the key liaison with Customers, Sales, and Quality.
This role will develop the individual to work with customers, troubleshooting quality issues and sales support on growing existing or gaining new business. This role will help improve quality and systems at the mills and extrusion facility.
Key Responsibilities and Job Functions: Primary job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Managing the Region
- Quality Complaint Investigation
- Entering and Processing Complaints
- Document trips visits/calls
- Customer focus and Improving the Customer Experience
- Supporting sales
- Managing T&E
- New Capital Upgrades or Equipment
- Follow trial product to determine and report performance
- Work will mills on improvements or process changes
- Manufacturing Systems
- Support the mills and extrusion facility
- Primary Tech Rep resource for specific facilities
- Participate in crew training and meetings at primary mill
- Serve as customer advocate
- Developing a relationship with the customers and learning their processes. Learning the various complex product lines within Mill Division and the application challenges. Understanding the manufacturing system and capabilities of each mill.
- This role will interact with Tech Reps, Quality Mgrs., Sales, Customer Service, Customers and R&D.

Background:
- Four-year degree with engineering preferred.
- Five years of work experience in one of the following: papermaking, printing or converting.
Required Skills:
- Extensive knowledge with Microsoft programs (excel, word, PowerPoint)
SCHEDULE DEMANDS:
- General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so. Weekend and evening on call responsibilities based on rotation.
- Up to 75% travel to include flying, driving, riding or by rail.
