Responsibilities
FinOps Analysis-
- Monitor and analyze cloud costs across multiple platforms, identifying optimization opportunities.
- Generate consolidated FinOps reports covering cloud expenditures and vendor costs, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Collaborate with finance and engineering teams to implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising operational effectiveness.
- Develop Domain economy / Feature economy / User economy analytical frameworks.
- Do alternative vendor research and analysis.
Development Productivity Analysis-
- Create and maintain metrics dashboards to evaluate engineering team productivity, leveraging frameworks like DORA (Deployment Frequency, Lead Time, MTTR, Change Failure Rate).
- Analyze code deployment workflows and identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
- Recommend and support the implementation of tools and practices to improve software delivery processes.
- Collaborate with R&D managers to ensure data-driven decision-making in development operations.
Production Operational Performance and Stability-
- Analyze incident trends and system performance to identify recurring issues or risks.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and KPIs to monitor production stability and operational health.
- Provide insights into incident root causes and recommend proactive measures to improve system reliability.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in a data analyst role, ideally in FinOps
- Advanced SQL skills, with the ability to execute optimized queries using multiple data sources
- Practical experience (1+ years) with BI tools such as Looker/Tableau/Power BI, etc
- Ability to work with a large amount of data, create reports, and recognize patterns
- Self-motivation, proactively going beyond the call of duty
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- English language proficiency - B2 is the minimum
Would be a plus:
- Experience with performance metrics and frameworks such as DORA and operational monitoring systems
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and associated cost management tools
- Experience in FinOps practices, including cloud cost optimization and forecasting
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, software development workflows
- Experience with Python (standard stat. libraries)
