GENERAL PURPOSE
As a Senior Production Manager, responsibilities would be to partner with interior designers, architects, project managers, and brand leads to define and execute a strategic approach that brings the many brands of MillerKnoll to life. As Senior Production Manager, you will work within the Interiors team to manage the people, process, and budgets associated with: showroom styling, graphics, logos, fixtures, lighting, sub architecture, curtains, art handling, and installations in showroom spaces and exhibits globally. The ideal candidate will be equally adept at defining scalable production processes and managing complex, high-impact installations. You will create streamlined workflows, develop production communications, and leverage both internal resources and external partners to improve execution across showroom styling, fixtures, graphics, sub-architecture, and exhibition design.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develop and implement production processes that elevate delivery standards and efficiency across teams and vendors.
- Create clear communication frameworks that align project teams and external resources throughout all stages of production.
- Collaborate with designers, architects, and brand leaders to translate creative direction into buildable, high-quality physical environments.
- Guide, review, and approve production drawings in collaboration with designers and vendors for approvals with senior leadership where required across the MK collective.
- Identify, research, select, and manage external contractors for specialized needs – design, construction, art handling, mock-ups, prototypes, installation, etc.
- Oversee production on all assigned projects including gathering project requirements, scoping, timelines, scheduling, negotiating, budgeting, shipping, installation, and quality control.
- Plan, manage, and supervise on-site installations.
- Collaborate with the MillerKnoll creative teams on showroom, exhibitions, and trade show spaces.
- Work directly with the extended Interiors team to push forward and deliver a clear styling vision for multiple projects across many brands.
- Travel to specific showrooms and tradeshow locations to assist in set up and de-installation of work globally.
- Research, brief, and collaborate on exhibition design.
- Other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, art or a related discipline; OR equivalent combination of education and operational experience.
- 8+ years of experience in production and/or installations management positions with progressively increasing responsibilities and complexity.
- Background in exhibition production including: design, fabrication, printing, and framing.
- Proven ability and knowledge of best practices with art handling, packing, rigging, and transportation.
- Experience managing multiple brands needs and goals through the production process.
Skills and Abilities
- Passion for working collaboratively across multiple disciplines.
- Demonstrated creative aesthetic that compliments the different brands within the collective.
- High degree of organizational skill with ability to handle multiple projects in various stages of development.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time, juggle tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
- Must be financially literate and possess good business acumen.
- Proficient knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp and other related software programs required.
- Travel up to 25%.
