Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. The Software Engineering team in Santa Barbara, California (ACT) is responsible for supporting all embedded product development from ACT. We are searching for an Intern pursuing a Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree to support the Software Engineering team at ACT. The successful candidate will take tasks and pursue innovative solutions with the guidance from the software engineering staff. The individual will perform documentation and test coverage of their work. The individual will also work within the requirements of their tasks to deliver results and communicate issues in a timely and accurate manner.

 

This internship will run from May 2025 – August 2025. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Santa Barbara, CA facility.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Remote control of certain devices.

• Improve current ui library for easier integration.

• Come up with general scripts in order to improve productivity.

Education and Experience:

Progress towards a college degree in a related field required, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.)

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

• Experience with Git, Agile, Python, C, or C++ preferred. 

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
