About the role
Responsibilities
Noblis is seeking a Cleared AI/ML Modeler/Engineer (All Levels) with IC experience and ACTIVE Top Secret with SCI and Polygraph in McLean, VA and Bethesda, MD The AI/ML Modeler/Engineer will be responsible for and not limited to:• Designing and developing AI/ML models aligned with customer requirements, transforming raw datasets into structured features and implementing appropriate algorithms based on problem characteristics.• Deploying models to production using ML Ops best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining comprehensive documentation of model architecture and training methodologies.• Designing and executing testing protocols with appropriate evaluation metrics (accuracy, precision, recall, F1), conducting A/B testing and optimizing models while addressing biases and edge cases.• Implementing supervised learning for classification/regression, unsupervised learning for clustering/dimensionality reduction, and reinforcement learning for sequential decision-making when applicable.• Applying hyperparameter tuning techniques (grid search, random search, Bayesian optimization) while balancing model complexity to prevent overfitting/underfitting.• Establishing production monitoring systems to track model performance and data drift, creating alerts for accuracy degradation and implementing automated retraining pipelines.• Optimizing inference processes for scalability, latency, and resource efficiency while collaborating with infrastructure teams to ensure proper integration.• Assessing data quality, implementing validation procedures, maintaining compliance with governance policies, and documenting data lineage for reproducibility.• Translating complex ML concepts for non-technical stakeholders, collaborating with domain experts, and presenting performance results to guide improvements.• Continuously learning emerging ML techniques, evaluating new tools, conducting proof-of-concept projects, and sharing knowledge with team members.
Required Qualifications
- Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining AI and machine learning models using given datasets and customer requirements.
- Experience testing and developing machine learning models that meet or exceed desired performance evaluation metrics.
- Experience understanding the concepts of supervised and unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, model evaluation metrics, and hyperparameter tuning.
- Experience monitoring model performance in production environments to ensure reliable, efficient, and scalable model performance.
Required minimum skills and knowledge:
- US Citizenship is required.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or a related field.

- Entry Level:
- Bachelor's degree + 2 years of experience OR Master’s Degree
- Compensation: $88,500 - $138,300
- Journeyman Level:
- Bachelor's degree + 4 years of experience OR Master's degree + 2 years of experience
- Compensation: $107,100 - $167,325
- Senior Level:
- Bachelor's degree + 6 years of experience OR Master's degree + 4 years of experience OR PhD degree + 2 years of experience
- Compensation: $129,700 - $202,675
- Expert Level:
- Bachelor's degree + 8 years of experience OR Master's degree + 6 years of experience OR PhD degree + 4 years of experience
- Compensation: $156,900 - $245,175
Desired Qualifications
- IC experience is highly desirable.
- Experience with having successfully demonstrated the ability to independently conduct the appropriate analysis to offer recommendations, solutions, and alternatives to resolve issues, concerns, problems, or methods.
- Experience in establishing strong working relationships with program managers as well as organization leadership; tracking task order efforts to rapidly identify and resolve potential and new problems; and identifying and resolving administrative and contractual issues related to a support services contract.
- Ability to solve problems in a rapidly changing environment, and interface with customers directly.
- Strong understanding of intelligence disciplines, methodologies, and the intelligence cycle.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environment.
