Vaccination for COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) is mandatory for all MSK staff. Staff are considered fully vaccinated upon completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19 (i.e., one dose of a single dose vaccine or a final dose of a multi-dose vaccine series). Exceptions from the COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) vaccine requirements are permitted for those who request and receive an approved medical, religious, or fully remote exemption.  Requests for exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved exemption is required to start work. 

Job Description

We Are:We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to deliver comprehensive care to our breast cancer patients throughout their continuum of care to meet their medical and psychosocial needs, implement and evaluate standards of care, and participate in research vital to establish outstanding, evidence-based care.

 

This role has two vacancies and is for Breast OR coverage only and will primarily cover surgical cases at JRSC, as a first or second-assist, and occasional coverage at the main campus operating rooms. Additional responsibilities include post-operative checks, rounding, and chart reviews to ensure patients are ready for surgery. The Josie Robertson Surgery Center is a freestanding surgical facility where surgeries are performed on an outpatient basis in a state-of the-art setting.

 

Hours: 10 hour shifts, 7a-9p flex schedule Monday-Saturday

Must be flexible for weekend/holiday rotation

Location: Josie Robertson Surgery Center, with potential to cover Main Campus

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will join a team of over 900 NPs and PAs across MSK who are dedicated to delivering conscientious, expert and comprehensive cancer care to patients and families, supporting the mission, philosophy, standards, goals and objectives of the institution and department.

You Will:• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members• Deliver comprehensive care to breast cancer patients • Meet the medical needs of patients• Participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure efficient care throughout the healthcare continuum

 

Qualifications needed for an NP candidate are:• Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations• Master’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)• 3+ years of related clinical experience• Related National NP certification

 

Qualifications needed for a PA candidate are:• Graduate from an accredited PA program• NCCPA certification• Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure• A minimum of 3 years of related experience is preferred

 

Pay Range $136,000-$180,000K
