About the role

We're looking for a Director of Strategic Planning to define and lead transformational projects that improve the effectiveness and value capture across Crunchyroll and supports our mission to be the world's destination of choice for anime. You will develop an understanding of operational challenges faced by teams and define appropriate solutions to address such challenges. Reporting to our Senior Director of Strategic Planning you will ensure that team roles and responsibilities are clear for the COO organization and that team projects are on a trajectory to achieve our company and department objectives and key results.

  • You will work with our Strategic Planning leader to support our COO by managing special projects and improving organizational efficiency.
  • You will collaborate with domain leaders on COO programs, including strategy, budgeting, operational excellence, improvement initiatives, technology, change management, executive presentations, and OKRs.
  • You will understand our strategy to help our COO set and track department OKRs and priorities.
  • You will support the bi-annual OKRs process for the COO organization, ensuring progress tracking and cascading team OKRs.
  • You will identify and track improvement opportunities for organizational efficiency.
  • You will define and monitor KPIs and metrics for reporting.
  • You will develop reports and dashboards to communicate progress regularly.
  • You will organize and sometimes lead projects with different contributors, ensuring agreement on goals and plans.
  • You will draft communications and create content for our COO's meetings and events.
  • You will track and report on team goals and success metrics.
  • You will design and implement best practices and processes to address gaps and opportunities.
  • You will be a resource in important meetings and use data analysis to support leadership needs.
  • You will apply cross-functional engagement skills to align and plan solutions for transformation programs and business initiatives.

About You

We get excited about candidates, like you, because...

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a similar role, with management consulting experience. MBA preferred
  • You have expertise in business operations, organizational improvement, process optimization, enterprise systems, and/or program management skills with experience achieving quantifiable results
  • You understand media subscription models and DTC principles and methodologies working in dynamic media and entertainment organizations
  • You have excellent executive and cross-functional communication skills, with a strong ability to build relationships with senior leadership teams
  • You have proficiency in growth and business strategy formulation, data-driven decision-making, and business and organizational development
