Position Summary:
AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Windsor Locks, CT that is a world leading manufacturer of business aircraft with a global network of service centers. They are committed to building their products with the future in mind – making them reliable and more efficient, while contributing to highly favorable operating costs. They masterfully design private jets and signature moments through an extensive portfolio of innovative products. The facility has received 21 consecutive FAA Diamond Awards and is actively involved in the Hartford community, spearheading programs to create awareness about aviation maintenance among local students and to help close the gender gap in the industry. We are looking for skilled Aircraft Painter/Finisher to assist with this client's production needs.
Essential Functions:
- Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop and / or Hangar positions)
- Comply with environmental health / safety policies / procedures. Participate in 5-S activities.
- Perform all work in a safe and timely manner.
- Perform surface preparation on aircraft and component parts
- Apply primer / topcoat / final spray
- Perform touch ups as needed
- Polish painted surfaces for finished appearance
- Install sealant and erosion tape
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- You typically have a minimum of 4 years' painting experience on corporate aircraft, or at least 6 years' painting experience on automotive
- You provide satisfactory results on Pulmonary Function evaluation in order to obtain respirator certification
- You have formal vocational training or equivalent
- You possess customer service / aviation work experience
- You possess basic PC skills
- You have basic knowledge pulling maintenance manuals / IPCs from computer
- You have basic knowledge of regulations dealing with transportation of hazardous materials
- You have demonstrated ability to communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status
- You have demonstrated ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings
