Global Dimensions is recruiting for an upcoming opportunity and seeking candidates who will be available upon award. Position locations are TBD.

Global Dimensions is seeking Popti, Poqomchi, Q’anjob’al, Q’eqchi and Quiche interpreters and translators to provide language services to the U.S. Government (CONUS and OCONUS).

In this position, the candidate will:

Provide foreign language support services, including transcription, and translation/interpretation at a working proficiency of a (ILR-2+) level for both English and Target Language.

Requirements

• Interagency Language Round Table (ILR) level 2+. Performance in Interpretation and/or Professional Performance in Translation, or equivalent in both Target Language and English.
• Provide in-person, onsite interpretation
• Provide remote telephonic and/or video interpretation
• Relay important deadlines, instructions, questions, and other communications to staff
• Assist in communicating any concerns, questions, or other information to staff
• Provide translation/interpretation services to aid in orienting staff to community resources as requested
• Translate documents from English into preferred and primary language spoken by eligible recipient and vice versa as requested.
• Assist staff with building rapport and understanding the cultural context of the populations being served
• Support special projects and initiatives
