Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
The Executive Assistant is responsible for supporting the Vice President of Workplace Operations & Engineering and VP of Strategic Technology Delivery for VERSANT, a newly formed, independent media company. We are looking for an experienced and proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and who values building strong relationships across the organization. This role is critical to enabling the success of our executive and broader team, and the ideal candidate will embody the company’s core values of transparency, trust, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Executive & Calendar Management:
Proactively manage highly dynamic and complex calendars for two VPs, coordinating meetings across global time zones and adapting to frequent changes.
- Operational & Administrative Excellence:
Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, building trusted relationships while prioritizing and streamlining information flow. You'll represent the executive's voice with professionalism and discretion, serving as a cultural ambassador for the team.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with other assistants, team members, and stakeholders across the organization.
- Confidentiality & Trust:
Handle all information with the highest level of discretion and integrity, earning and maintaining deep trust with the executive team.
- Strategic Support:
Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and assist with high-priority projects, always ready to step in where needed with a "can-do" attitude.
- Project Management & Special Assignments: Assist with special projects and provide backup support for other assistants when required.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree 1+ years of experience supporting senior executives in a fast-paced corporate environment
- Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and a proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Slack, Zoom, and DocuSign. Familiarity with SAP, Concur, or similar systems is a plus.
