Description
Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, the Design Center Delivery Driver will be responsible for delivering doors, cabinets and building materials to job sites, assuring that the correct materials in the right quantities are placed carefully at the site. All employees are expected to be consistent in following company policies and procedures and safety guidelines; timeliness, quality, accuracy and thoroughness of work performed; attendance, dress, leadership, teamwork, honesty, integrity and respect for others.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Accurately completes paperwork.
2. Safely and efficiently makes deliveries using deliver truck.
3. Provides customer service as required.
4. Properly secures loads on delivery vehicles to eliminate damage.
5. Handles materials safely and with care to avoid damage.
6. Returns materials from job site as required.
7. Checks off loads against paperwork to ensure accuracy as they are being loaded and unloaded.
8. Properly unloads material at job sites to job specifications.
9. Checks security of loads at check points.
10. Maintains consistent communication with dispatch and home concepts.
11. Helps keep warehouse storage area neat and orderly.
12. Coordinates with inventory control for inventory counts.
13. Establishes and maintains positive relations and communication with customers and employees.
14. Pulls materials for delivery as needed.
15. Assists in housekeeping of the facility.
16. Has knowledge of DS/HC materials and their applications.
17. Is able to do routine and maintenance checks on equipment.
18. Assists in providing security.
19. Keeps vehicles clean and free of litter.
20. Assists management in formulating ideas for operational improvement.
21. Understands and follows company policies and procedures
22. Completes all assigned tasks willingly and without prompting
23. Maintains a quality attendance and safety record
24. Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements
Education A high school education or equivalent is required. Must be able to read, write and speak English and have the ability to work with and understand printed forms and documents.
Experience Prior experience in the building industry, material handling and driving is desirable, but not required.
Skills Positive interpersonal skills
Good organizational and problem solving skills
Physical Ability to lift objects weighing up to 100 pounds and meet the physical requirements as defined in the pre-placement physical
Other Must have a valid driver’s license and be acceptable driving record to qualify for insurance coverage under TTL’s policy
Must pass a drug test and physical to obtain a medical card
Must be able to pass pre-placement business math test.
Must be able to maintain positive, professional relationships with customers and co-workers.
Must be able to understand and follow instructions, both verbal and written
Must be able to organize and prioritize the workload assigned
Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision to complete assigned projects.
