Job Summary:

This job will design and implement advanced data science models to support business needs. You will work with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions. Your role involves driving best practices in data science, ensuring data quality, and mentoring junior scientists.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage data science projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
• Develop and maintain data models, algorithms, and reporting systems to support data analysis and decision-making.
• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide actionable insights.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through regular audits and validation processes.
• Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  Consumer fraud risk team resides in Global Fraud Prevention and Global Risk Management (GRM) organization that supports PayPal Consumer and Venmo business lines in optimizing fraud risk to enable profitable business growth

  You will manage Venmo and PayPal risk strategies to support the growth of PayPal Consumer and Venmo line of business

  Meet our team:

  This role reports to the Senior Manager in Consumer P&L Risk Management team. In addition, you will work closely with PayPal Consumer and Venmo business leaders, Risk Products, Decision Science, Fraud Operations, and Engineering to execute on the risk management roadmap that you and your team will develop risk strategy to manage Venmo and PayPal related risk loss mitigation and optimize risk experience.

  • You will provide thought leadership to PayPal Consumer and Venmo cross-functional leaders in multiple Product teams, P&L owner, Finance, and Operations to grow the business while achieving key business objectives

  • You will work closely with business stakeholders to develop an risk initiatives roadmap to support profitable business growth and trade-offs. Defining team objectives and executing those objectives to drive profitable growth.
