The Role

The Senior Executive Assistant will provide high-level support to Mastercard’s Chief People Officer (CPO) – a member of the Executive Leadership Team and Management Committee – who leads the company’s global People & Capability (P&C) strategy and operations. This role is pivotal in enabling the CPO to operate effectively at the enterprise level, ensuring smooth day-to-day execution while managing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment.

The Senior Executive Assistant will serve as a trusted partner, managing a complex portfolio of administrative, operational, and strategic support responsibilities with discretion, judgment, confidentiality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

Executive Support & Coordination
• Provide seamless administrative and operational support to the CPO, including complex calendar and schedule management across multiple time zones.
• Coordinate internal and external meetings, ensuring strategic prioritization and managing last-minute changes with agility.
• Arrange and manage complex international and domestic travel, including multi-leg itineraries, visas, and logistics.
• Prepare and process timely expense reports and manage purchasing card reconciliation in line with company policy.

Board, ELT, and Senior Stakeholder Engagement
• Support Management Committee and board-level activities; coordinate materials and logistics.
• Interface with senior executives, board members, government officials, investors, and other high-profile stakeholders with professionalism and discretion.

Operational Excellence & Event Management
• Plan and execute department events, offsites, and leadership meetings – coordinating venues, guest speakers, catering, and related logistics.
• Support onboarding for new P&C leadership team members.
• Coordinate departmental purchases, budget tracking, and compliance with finance policies.

Project & Program Support
• Administer programs, projects, and processes specific to the P&C function; maintain departmental records, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Manage access to team tools, SharePoint repositories, distribution lists, and compliance programs (e.g., Access Management, Oracle, Ariba, Workday, VIVO).
• Research issues, prepare briefing materials, draft correspondence, and create presentations as needed.

Team Partnership & Leadership
• Act as a liaison between the CPO, leadership team, and other business unit administrative staff, fostering a collaborative, high-performing support network.
• Share best practices and act as a resource and mentor to other administrative assistants.
