The Boeing CompanyBoeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Project Management Specialist to join our KC-46 Software Sustainment team in Tukwila, WA.
KC-46 Development & Support to Production is a dynamic, growing organization with a leadership team focused on attracting and developing top talent to set the foundation of US Air Force lifecycle sustainment for the world’s most advanced multi-mission aerial refueling aircraft. The KC-46 Software Sustainment Team rapidly designs, develops, and delivers annual software enhancements for the KC-46A Pegasus fleet which increase its capability, availability, and usability.
This position will join our team as a project manager for large aircraft software development projects (~$9M/year) providing:
- Cost, schedule, and technical management
- Coordination of commitments with our business partners, customers, and suppliers to fulfill aircraft lifecycle strategies
- Leadership of a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and logisticians
- Direction of all phases of software development projects from inception through fielding

Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for cost, schedule, technical, and risk management of software development projects from inception to fielding
- Develops and maintains program baselines and status to plan
- Leads program execution battle rhythm
- Defines and coordinates to build cross-functional teams necessary to execute software design, development, testing, and certification
- Develops and maintains statement of work (SOW) for subcontractors, with engineering support, when required
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience directly interfacing and communicating with customers
- Experience analyzing data, creating reports, and presenting results
- Experience developing, maintaining, and managing resource-loaded Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) using MS Project, Kidasa Milestones Professional, Oracle Primavera, and/or Deltek Open Plan Professional (OPP)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with legacy or new production military commercial derivative aircraft (MCDA) such as KC-135, KC-46, VC-25, P-8, E-3, E-7, and/or C-40
- Experience leading aircraft hardware/software development projects or prior technical experience with aircraft systems, software, or avionics
- Knowledge of FAA and other airworthiness regulatory requirements (e.g. DO-178)
- Experience with Agile project management for software development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience developing integrated plans and schedules
- Working knowledge of and/or experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) and/or Control Account Management (CAM)
- Knowledge of and/or experience in Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBP)
- Experience with Risk Management & Mitigation (e.g. BORIS)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $115,600 - $156,400
