Job Description

As a Security Professional - Unarmed Retail Site in Kapolei, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Officer in a retail environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure atmosphere for customers and staff. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will contribute to a welcoming environment. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding incidents or site-specific issues.
• Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance needs according to company and client protocols.
• Assist with access control procedures and provide directions or assistance to visitors as needed within the retail environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
