Job Description

The expected pay range for this position is $120,000 to $135,000 yearly.  The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews, surveys, and workshops using Agile tools and techniques to gather requirements from stakeholders.
  • Analyze requirements to ensure they are clear, complete, and unambiguous.
  • Document existing processes and design improved ones, often with the help of diagrams and flowcharts.
  • Define and document product roadmaps outlining the target state of user journeys representing MVP functionality to be implemented.
  • Create and evolve design documentation and artifacts, including product backlog grooming, workflows, task flows, user flows, site maps, annotated wireframes, functional requirements, functional prototypes and research results.
  • Envision and define innovative and effective flows and interaction styles to improve efficiency and user productivity.
  • Evaluate potential solutions for feasibility and assess their impact on the business and existing systems.
  • Act as a liaison between the business stakeholders and the IT team to ensure clear communication and alignment of expectations.
  • Assist in the implementation of new systems or processes, including training and support for end-users.

Expected Work Products:

  • Business Requirements Document (BRD): A detailed description of business needs and the criteria for solution acceptance.
  • Journey Maps: A UX visualization document that showcases the steps a user takes in a process to execute functionality
  • Analysis of Alternatives: A document that guides program offices seeking IT capabilities and governance to deliver on proposed technical solutions.
  • Functional Specifications: A document that outlines the functionality required to meet the business needs, often including use cases or user stories.
  • Technical Specifications: Detailed specifications that IT developers use to design and implement the solution. This could be part of or separate from the Functional Specifications, depending on the organization's methodology.
  • Process Diagrams: Visual representations of current and future business processes, using notations like BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation).
  • Test Plans and Test Cases: Documents that outline how the solution will be tested to ensure it meets the requirements.
  • User Manuals/Training Materials: Guides and materials created to help end-users understand and use the new system or process effectively.
  • Status Reports and Dashboards: Regular updates on the progress of the project, including any risks, issues, and milestones.

Qualifications

Required Skillset:

  • 5+ years’ experience in gathering requirements, business analysis and synthesizing of data in an agile fashion.
  • Strong communication skills are required.
  • Stakeholder engagement skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently in an autonomous environment.
  • Experience creating user manuals, test plans, and test cases.
  • Experience working on Agile Teams

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business-related field of study

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen and reside in the contiguous 48 states.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
