Warehouse Supervisor

Description

The Warehouse Supervisor supports daily operations in the warehouse, including distribution, order picking and processing, inventory control, safety, and shipping and receiving. This position provides direct guidance to warehouse team members and ensures tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with company standards. The Warehouse Supervisor reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provide hands-on supervision of warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment and inventory control
• Assign daily tasks and monitor team performance to meet productivity, quality, and safety targets
• Support onboarding and training of new warehouse employees
• Assist the Warehouse Manager in evaluating employee performance and offering coaching or corrective action as needed
• Promote a culture of safety by enforcing proper use of equipment and adherence to safety protocols
• Communicate updates and operational concerns to the Warehouse Manager
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse conditions
• Participate in and support company-wide initiatives as directed by the Warehouse Manager
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

2–3 years of warehouse experience, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role

Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety procedures

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications preferred

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Working knowledge of inventory systems and warehouse software (Prelude experience is a plus)

Expert with Prelude

Ability to work extended hours, as needed

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screening
