Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) w/Sign on Bonus

Tooth & Tusk Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics in Beaverton, OR is looking for a FUN and energetic Expanded Functions Orthodontic Dental Assistant (EFODA) that has a desire to grow with our pediatric dental practices. Candidates must be professional, outgoing, well-organized, reliable, team-oriented and must absolutely love working with kids!

• Recement loose orthodontic bands
• Remove orthodontic bands and brackets and attachments with removal of the bonding material and cement.
• Place and remove orthodontic separators
• Prepare teeth for bonding or placement of orthodontic appliances and select, pre-position and cure orthodontic brackets, attachments and/or retainers after their position has been approved by the supervising licensed dentist
• Remove fixed orthodontic appliances
• Remove and replace orthodontic wires. Place and ligate arch wires. Place elastic ligatures or chains as directed
• Take impressions for study models or temporary oral devices such as, but not limited to, space maintainers, orthodontic retainers and occlusal guards
• Fit and adjust headgear

This is a full-time position working Monday - Thursday from 7:30am - 4:30pm

Requirements

• Must have 1 year of experience and EFDA or EFPDA certification required.
• 2 Step TB Test is required.
