This is the 'right-hand' person for the Operations Manager (OM) performing the business and financial administrative tasks to leverage the Operations Manager. They will have oversight of the business office staff and daily business office operations. The Business Administrator will perform front desk functions as an auxiliary staff member, work with vendors and departments, partner with the OM on accounts payable and accounts receivable, and present treatment plans to patients in an effort to educate them and get the 'yes'. The number one responsibility of all employees is patient care and meeting patient needs. This position is ready for a great communicator ready to take on a new challenge.
*MUST HAVE AT LEAST TWO YEARS DENTAL EXPERIENCE*
Primary Responsibilities and Tasks
- Effectively communicate and present treatment plans to patients
- Ensure business office protocols, tasks and checklists are completed efficiently.
- Oversee patient relations and handle patient complaints, under OM indirect supervision.
- Answer and respond to phone calls with professionalism and according to scripting and protocols.
- Understand CBO and AR protocols and assist OM with accounts receivable tasks. Ensuring the business team are collecting copays on date of service and following our sales process.
- Provide the practice with administrative and hands-on support as an auxiliary staff member as determined by the daily business needs.
- Manage business staff schedules and arrange coverage.
- Ensure bank deposits are protected and made daily; monitor and protect petty cash funds; Perform End of Day and End of Month processes.
- Ensure practice adheres to HIPAA policies and procedures and other applicable privacy and security policies and procedures to maintain patient privacy and protect patient information including financial, personal, and health information.
- Keep practice in compliance with health and OSHA regulation.

Requirements
Education and Training
- 2+ years of dental business office experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in presenting treatment plans
- Knowledge of dental terminology.
- Knowledge of dental office procedures.
- Knowledge of accounting and administrative principles and procedures.
- Knowledge of a dental practice management software preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance verification.
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
