POSITION TITLE: Clinical Supervisor, Outpatient  

Schedule: The normal work week for this position is 37.5 hours each week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with evenings or earlier mornings as needed.  Flexible hours are required to assure service delivery which meets consumers’ and program needs.

Location:  Homestead Area of Pittsburgh, PA    

 

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION: 

The primary purpose of this position is to provide overall management of the outpatient operation and clinical supervision to therapy staff.  This position provides leadership, direction, consultation and coaching to assure service excellence.  This position may also provide direct treatment for individuals, groups and families.

• Deliver and Support Best Practice Treatment Services
• Represent Agency and Foster Teamwork
• May provide some direct treatment services
• Ensure Compliance and Documentation
• Performs other responsibilities and duties as assigned or required

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and accurate in both clinical and managerial duties, ensuring best-practice treatment and regulatory compliance. They communicate effectively with consumers, staff, and partners, and are proficient with electronic documentation and technology. With strong knowledge of psychotropic medications, crisis intervention, and therapeutic boundaries, they exercise sound judgment to promote safety and uphold agency policies. Reliable and aligned with the agency’s mission, they ensure timely documentation to maintain licensure and funding while fostering a collaborative, consumer-focused environment.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Training:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling
• Minimum of two years’ experience with active licensure
• LCSW or LPC preferred
• Extensive knowledge of individual and group treatment
• Experience with treatment of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders (MH/D&A)
