Job Overview

The Assistant, Beauty Education supports Macy’s Beauty's commitment to evolving with increasingly savvy beauty customers. They help meet customer needs by assisting in the design, development, and implementation of content on Macy’s Beauty’s eLearning platform, Beauty Playground. Reporting directly to the Head of Beauty Education, the Assistant plays a key role in elevating colleague expertise and enhancing the customer experience.

 

What You Will Do

• Work with key business partners on priorities and initiatives for the Beauty Division and the Education Team.
• Develop assets, content, and support execution plans based on key business initiatives.
• Explore new and effective methods for creating training programs for beginners, intermediate, and advanced levels.
• Plan, communicate, and execute training sessions, including topics, logistics, agendas, and leader guides.
• Create and edit videos and supporting materials for Created for Macy's training programs.
• Create digital product training pages (PTP) and ensure timely execution of launches for selected categories.
• Provide support with daily communication, tasks, and functions.
• Organize brand content and launch calendars.
• Collaborate with vendors on brand-provided content, ensuring alignment with substantiation guidelines.
• Publish content on Beauty Playground using prototyping and web development tools; ability to learn basic programming skills required.
• Analyze education and sales data to provide insights, track engagement, and assess the effectiveness of initiatives across the eLearning platform.

 

Skills You Will Need

Content Development: Experience in creating and managing educational content, including video production and editing.

Project Management: Ability to plan, execute, and organize training sessions and content calendars.

Technical Proficiency: Basic programming skills and familiarity with LMS authoring software, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Collaboration and Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and assess the effectiveness of educational initiatives.

Beauty Industry Knowledge: Relevant experience in beauty education or retail; cosmetology license preferred.

Creativity and Innovation: Ability to develop and implement new training methods and enhance the customer experience.
