JOB SUMMARY

Join our team as a Baker/Pastry Cook and be the mastermind behind our delectable desserts! As the Baker/Pastry Cook, you will prepare and oversee the creation of excellent quality desserts while adhering to the Bear Tooth restaurant's pars and recipes. The Baker/Pastry Cook will assist in developing specials and new dessert recipes and cater to special events as assigned. The Baker/Pastry Cook is responsible for the preparation and supervision of preparation of all the pastries and baked goods for the Bear Tooth restaurant.  If you're passionate about crafting exceptional sweet treats and want to be part of a dynamic culinary team, we'd love to hear from you!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and policy procedures
2. Extensive knowledge of menu items and ingredients
3. Prepare and supervise the preparation of all the pastries and baked goods for the Bear Tooth
4. Create and fulfill par levels
5. Handle, store, date, and rotate all products properly
6. Monitor and promptly report equipment and food quality issues to a manager
7. Be a creative contributor to dessert specials
8. Be responsible for costing recipes (software is available)
9. Ensure completion of all opening, closing, and side duties
10. Communicate clearly and professionally with all staff in the restaurant
11. Work as a team with your fellow co-workers and treat each other with kindness and respect

• Restaurant baking experience is a plus
• Self-motivation

• Ability to work independently when needed
• Be able to work in a team dynamic
• Have stellar communication skills
• Ability to read and properly make recipes using exact measurements

Requirements

Qualifications

Must be 16 years of age or older with a Municipality of Anchorage Food Handlers Card. Previous baking experience is a plus.
