Senior Bid Expert

We are actively seeking a seasoned Senior Bid Expert to join our esteemed team and contribute to our continued success.

 

The role forms a part of the Procurement function within Atos UK. This is a role within the UK Procurement Bid Management team and reports directly to the UK Procurement Bid Management Director.

 

What will you do?

 

•    Supporting the procurement transitions process for each bid - you will be responsible for following phases during the bid lifecycle: due diligence, implementing smooth transition (and where applicable transformation) to handover and delivery of services.

•    Support of the entire implementation process for the transition of each project. Whether that is for new business, a significant contract extension or business project. You will be required to take responsibility for the project that delivers the total operation implementation (start-up) of all services due to be delivered by Procurement Bid Management.

•    Engagement and collaboration with Atos Bid Managers, business tower owners, Project Managers, Solution managers, operations teams, HR representatives, Transition and Transformation managers, Delivery teams, including new Solution Delivery Managers and our suppliers and partners.

•    Developing written procedures and collateral that align with industry best practice.

•    Working in conjunction with the Procurement Transition Manager and Procurement Category Managers he/she should work with a solution manager to illustrate the overlap of new and legacy contracts in the delivery of the Services during the lifetime of the customer contract. An Atos transition team should be kept satisfied in terms of cost, quality, and risk.

•    You will draw in support from cross-category Procurement team (GBU and Global as applicable) members to capture maximum savings or value for the Group while managing the minimising of risk centred on the transfer and management (including where Atos will act as paying agent) of 3rd party contracts.

 

 

Sounds good? Match your experience:

 

• Minimum 5 years’ experience of working within procurement organisations.

• Excellent comand of English (C1+)

• Good Project Management skills or at least familiarity of Project Management to contribute to Project Management documents, plans, deliverables and project progress reporting.

• Established negotiation skills and techniques.

• Strong contractual skills.

• Good all-round commercial knowledge or experience of managing commercial elements within other environments.

• Good IT skills to support decision-making, report writing, and strategic decision making.

• Good communication skills.

 

Nice to have:

 

• Being a fully qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), or currently studying or with an intent towards studying this qualification.

• Skills pertaining to those found in traditional category management e.g Software, Telco, Hardware, Services, subco etc.

• Experience of the issues on “transfer in”, or “transfer out” for software licences

• Knowledge of technologies that Atos purchase and consume in delivering services to our clients.
