Located in Lancaster, NY, accurately and efficiently receive, store, pick, pack, and ship parts, machines, tooling, spare parts, and related combinations thereof. Ensure quality material handling by paying attention to correct customers, locations, quantities, shipping methods, labeling and shipping requirements. Cross train in all duties including subassembly, light electrical assembly, machine assembly, assisting in controlling costs, and meeting inventory goals.
Pay range: $19.00-$24.00/hr
Job Description
- Receive, log, stock, and stage materials in the correct locations. Assist in maintaining effective inventory levels (KanBan or other system).
- Interface with drivers in a professional manner to quickly and efficiently load and unload trucks.
- Interface with shipping companies in a professional to obtain information, quotes and schedule shipments as needed
- Count, verify and accurate receive parts/purchase orders into ERP system.
- Visually inspect incoming parts for damage
- Inspect parts for conformance to prints and specs
- Verify accuracy of product numbers and quantities per the packing slip.
- Complete all shipping related paperwork accurately.
- Prioritize and mark packing slips and orders per instructions.
- Accurately pick and pack materials and related materials as necessary. Pack products per procedure and customer shipping requirements including bar code labels, material certifications, custom labeling, etc
- Build pallets as needed to mount and ship machinery.
- Process non-conforming products in a timely manner
- Restock materials and supplies for each following day’s activity. Review shipping supply list and order necessary materials
- Perform regular housekeeping including organizing and warehouse locations, shipping receiving area, and work space
- Cross train in automation and parts for duties such as sub-assemblies, assemblies, machine set-up and assistance
- Become certified on ITW forklifts
- Perform safety checks in department as needed
- Constantly strive to improve and make work/repetitive tasks easier, more accurate and more efficient.
- Maintains focus on continuous improvement by applying 80/20, PLS, and USa principles/techniques and makes process improvement recommendations to management.

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED required
Experience/Skills:
- At least 1 year of warehouse experience including picking, packing and shipping. Some inventory control system experience is preferred.
- Basic PC skills including use of Word and Excel, MS Outlook.
- Forklift certified – or within 90 days of hire. Will provide training.
- Mechanical assembly competency or demonstrated willingness to learn a plus.
- Motivation to improve either drastically or incrementally a plus.

2. The employee must lift and carry up to 50 pounds of force constantly and up to 75 pounds occasionally. They will be required to occasionally push and/or pull, or otherwise move objects up to 75 pounds.
