Join our dynamic Surgical Specialties team, where we care for patients undergoing vascular and bariatric procedures, as well as general med-surg patients based on surgical volume. Our unit flexes to meet the needs of our surgical population, offering a diverse and engaging clinical environment.
Primary Patient Population Includes:
Bariatric Surgery:
Gastric Sleeve
Gastric Bypass
(Note: Not all patients are bariatric)
Vascular Surgery:
Carotid Endarterectomy (CEA)
Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) Repair
Revascularizations
Thrombectomies
Amputations
Additional Care Needs:
General Med-Surg patients
Glucommander IV insulin therapy for glycemic management
What You’ll Do:
Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to a diverse surgical population
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Monitor and manage post-operative recovery and chronic conditions
Utilize advanced tools like Glucommander for insulin management
Flex between patient types based on unit needs and surgical volume
Qualifications:
Current RN license in Georgia
Previous experience in surgical, med-surg, or critical care nursing is a plus
Strong clinical judgment and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
