Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer Level 2/3 to implement Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for the Sentinel Systems Engineer position(s) located in Chandler, AZ. 

The  Systems Engineer/Principal Systems Engineer will work with other members of the team to ensure that the Sentinel system architecture is captured in CAMEO.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the development, decomposition, refinement and documentation of system, subsystem and component requirements and capabilities to support the Sentinel program.  This includes ensuring the system architecture is captured in CAMEO and corresponding requirements are captured in DOORS (and that the two are consistent).
• The Sentinel Principal MBSE Engineer is directly responsible for supporting the overall System-level development effort including integration of subsystem elements into the overall System-level design architecture and related formal deliverables to the customer
• The Sentinel Principal MBSE Engineer is directly responsible for supporting overall System-level end to end performance assessments of the Sentinel system and identifying and leading the resolution of systems performance gaps relative to stakeholder requirements.
• Collaboration with senior systems engineers and other disciplines to support the development of the Sentinel deliverables
• Lead small ad-hoc teams in the execution of tasking per the Integrated Master Schedule.

This position can be filled at a Level 2 or 3

Salary range Level 2 $79,300 - $118,900

Salary range Level 3 $98,400 - $147,600

Level 2 Systems Engineer Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 0 years of related engineering experience
• Interim Secret DoD security clearance, or higher – work is performed in a closed area full time (100% onsite / 100% Closed area)
• Requirements Decomposition experience
• Experience with MagicDraw/Cameo Systems Modeler
• MBSE Experience
• DOORS or other requirements Management Experience
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and nontechnical personnel
• Demonstrated experience in requirements decomposition, validation and verification

Level 3 Systems Engineer Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 3 years of related engineering experience, or a PhD in STEM with no experience
• Interim Secret DoD security clearance, or higher – work is performed in a closed area full time (100% onsite / 100% Closed area)
• Requirements Decomposition experience
• Experience with MagicDraw/Cameo Systems Modeler
• MBSE Experience
• DOORS or other requirements Management Experience
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and nontechnical personnel
• Demonstrated experience in requirements decomposition, validation and verification

Preferred Qualifications:

• OMG-Certified SysML Professional (OCSMP) Level 1 & 2 Certification
• Experience with Teamwork Cloud (TWC) and Branch Management of project within TWC
• Missile Defense or Command and Control Experience
• Mechanical Engineering exposure - ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
