GXO Logistics, a leader in the logistics industry, is looking for a highly skilled professional who knows how to get the best out of their team. As the Senior Director - PMO, you’ll be the owner and guardian of the Business Process Outsourcing “BPO” program for the AMAPAC region. You’ll be responsible for ensuring flawless execution of all PMO activities to support the Human Resources, Finance, and IT Towers. Working closely with the entire Business Services team, you will define, budget, and execute a robust portfolio of projects. You’ll engage directly with GXO executive leadership teams to understand the BPO and business drivers and vision for the Business Services team and keep them current on the broad array of projects that are in flight and on the horizon. You’ll directly oversee the quality and execution of global project teams with our BPO partner. You’ll own the scope and budgets associated with project delivery and need to work closely with the functional leads within GXO and our BPO partner. You’ll also be responsible for managing information via SharePoint and other tools and ensuring all project management needs are met across the Business Services team.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Work closely with the Business Services team, our BPO partner, Finance, HR, and IT stakeholders and sponsors to establish strong trust-based relationship that allows for strategic planning, project execution and collaboration.   
  • Provide project management expertise and best practice guidance to drive a co-owned (business and BPO) strategic roadmap. 
  • Create, manage, and own the overall Program SharePoint site, ensuring program information, documents and team members have access to all information needed.
  • Schedule and support program workshops, go-lives and other key initiatives across the HR, Finance and IT workstreams to ensure program success.
  • Directly oversee and participate in the delivery of all roadmap initiatives, guiding teams and BPO program efforts. 
  • Create and lead a cost-effective and highly skilled PMO function for Business Services in partnership with our BPO partner.
  • Strive for and drive consistent, best practice driven standards, processes, templates in accordance with generally accepted project management principles. 
  • Be accountable for understanding the operational targets of the Business Services Team and the BPO program, translating them into practical and executable project plans.
  • Author and manage project budgets across all BPO and Business Services budget reporting lines.
  • Be a key member of the GXO Business Services leadership team, contributing to creating a cohesive, collaborative, and high performing function.
  • Drive world-class performance project team design and delivery. Ensure all project management and controls are in place, documented, and meet audit and compliance standards.
  • Own the project plan for complex, broad scope initiatives and manage all activities in the project life cycle including initiation, planning, executing, controlling, and closing.
  • Build and integrate the project management teams and process globally in future state

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 5+ years of experience in managing large-scale enterprise projects related to Transformation and Business Process Outsourcing in global organizations
    • Ability to interact and communicate at executive and management
    • Proven ability to manage multiple, enterprise vendors
    • Ability to work autonomously, solving complex problems in an ambiguous environment
    • Extensive breadth of experience delivering complex projects within budget and scope
    • Expert knowledge with Project Management methodologies and tools
    • Superior interpersonal skills and conflict resolution skills
