What You Will Do:

You will work with a team of cyber security professionals within a component of a large Federal agency that supports their system security lifecycle for classified and unclassified information systems and will include but are not limited to: System Authorization, System Security Development and Implementation, System Security response, and System Security planning, in accordance with Federal guidelines and directives.  Additionally, you will provide timely and successful mitigations to cybersecurity incidents that conform to all requirements set forth in the agency's policies.  

 

Other assignments:

Follow Incident Response Plan to assist in remediating incidents following incident standard operating procedures. 

Deliver Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for incident remediation based on Incident Response Plans. 

Update SOPs as changes to procedure are identified and submit SOPs for recertification on an annual basis. 

Report on continuous monitoring triggers when activated for all systems under ongoing authorization. 

Provide authorization recommendations for foreign travel requests. 

Coordinate remediation activities with the Security Operations Center. 

The contractor shall document remediation activities in after-action reports and perform root cause analysis for all novel incidents. 

The contractor shall coordinate Phishing testing exercises with Federal cyber staff.

What You Will Need:

• An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED Top Secret Federal or DoD security clearance; must UPGRADE and MAINTAIN a Top Secret with SCI (TS/SCI) Federal or DoD security clearance

• Bachelor’s degree; OR FOUR (4) years’ experience related to cybersecurity, information assurance, information technology and/or IT Technology Consulting may be used in lieu of a bachelor's degree

• ONE (1) or more years' experience as a Security/Network Administrator or cybersecurity analyst

What Would Be Nice To Have:

• Experience with DOJ

• Experience with penetration testing and vulnerability analysis.

The annual salary range for this position is $85,000.00-$141,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
