Senior Project Consultant, Hungary

<p><span dir="ltr"></span>Preferred by Nature is seeking a highly motivated Senior Consultant to lead and expand our agricultural initiatives in Hungary. This role involves managing a growing projects aimed at promoting regenerative agriculture, improving soil health and reducing carbon emissions at farm level. <strong></strong><br/></p><p><span></span><strong>What can you expect:</strong></p><p>As a Senior Consultant, you will build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders, fostering collaboration and overseen the delivering impactful project results. Your key responsibilities will include:</p><ul> </ul><p><strong>1. Project Leadership and Development </strong> </p><ul> <li>Drive project development, build strategic partnerships, and engage stakeholders to ensure alignment with sustainability objectives; </li> </ul><ul> <li>Lead the identification and engagement of new funding opportunities and project partners; </li> </ul><ul> <li>Provide expert input to shape project strategies, aligning them with Preferred by Nature sustainability priorities.</li> </ul><p><strong>2. Project Implementation and Oversight </strong> </p><ul> <li>Coordinate and supervise the implementation of regenerative agriculture interventions in collaboration with the project team; </li> </ul><ul> <li>Monitor project progress at farm level, ensuring high-quality data collection and reporting to demand-side partners; </li> </ul><ul> <li>Oversee the development and execution of Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) strategies in collaboration with partners; </li> </ul><ul> <li>Facilitate knowledge exchange by identifying lessons learned and integrating them into project improvements; </li> </ul><ul> <li>Ensure smooth communication between project stakeholders and compliance with contractual obligations.</li> </ul><p><strong>3. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration </strong> </p><ul> <li>Represent Preferred by Nature in meetings with stakeholders to refine interventions and establish strategic collaborations. </li> </ul><ul> <li>Foster long-term relationships with partners and stakeholders, acting as a key liaison for the organization in Hungary. </li> </ul><ul> <li>Participate in training sessions, external communications, and organizational initiatives to strengthen collaboration with partners and stakeholders.</li> </ul><p><strong>4. Field Support and Evaluation </strong> </p><ul> <li>Conduct periodic field visits to assess progress, address challenges, and ensure effective project implementation; </li> </ul><ul> <li>Provide hands-on technical and management support to project teams and partners in the field.</li> </ul><p><strong>5. Organizational Alignment </strong> </p><p>Collaborate with the global Preferred by Nature team to align local activities with global organizational priorities. </p><p><strong>Area of work:</strong> This role is primarily remote, with periodic on-site visits to farms or meeting in Budapest or in Western Transdanubia and adjacent regions. </p><p><strong>Job Type: </strong>Consultancy work of approximately 100 to 120 hours per month, with the flexibility to increase hours based on workload requirements. </p><p><strong>Contract Duration : </strong>One year, (can be renewal, based on performance and project requirements) <br/></p><p><strong>Important that you have:</strong></p><ul> <li>Bachelor degree in Agriculture, Environmental Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, Agro-industries, or a related field in the agricultural and/or environmental sectors.</li> <li>Proven experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, or coordination at the international level. </li> <li>Demonstrated expertise in regenerative agriculture or a strong willingness to learn and adapt in this field.</li> <li>Strong understanding of sustainability concepts, with an emphasis on soil health and carbon farming practices; </li> <li>Familiarity with MRV processes is highly desirable; </li> <li>Ability to provide strategic and technical oversight in project planning and execution.</li> <li>Excellent relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders, including farmers, project partners, and funding agencies. </li> <li>Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.</li> <li>Fluency in Hungarian and English (both written and spoken) is required.</li> </ul><ul> </ul><ul> <li>Willingness to travel for field visits and meetings as needed.</li> </ul><p><br/><strong>Additional Information</strong><br/>This opportunity is open to all professionally active individuals, regardless of gender.</p><p><strong>Application </strong>must be submitted before <strong>20th December 2024</strong></p><p>--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br/></p><p><strong>About Preferred by Nature:</strong></p><p>Preferred by Nature is an international non-profit organization operating in supporting bet
