About this role
HVAC Global Operations (Commercial and Residential) North America seeks a skilled and experienced Aftermarket Material Planner to join our Residential team in Atlanta GA. The Aftermarket Material Planner is responsible for the supply and demand planning process, and for making moderate improvements to systems and processes to enhance the performance of the work area and team. Works with internal team to develop financial forecasts.
The Aftermarket Material Planner must have a strong background in supply chain management, sound negotiation/communication skills, and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.
This is a hybrid role (3 days at home and 2 days in the office in Atlanta GA.)

Key Responsibilities
- Purchasing: Responsible for the PO placement process; support the buying/sourcing team to ensure parts/accessories are quoted/sourced on time
- Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers to confirm timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain issues
- Material Planning: Develop and implement material planning strategies to guarantee timely availability of materials for customer demand
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize stock and reduce excess inventory
- Data Analysis: Analyze material usage trends and forecast future material requirements
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance material planning and purchasing efficiency
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on material status, inventory levels, purchasing activities, and supply chain performance
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all purchasing activities
Basic Qualifications
- Associate degree
- 3+ years of experience in material planning and purchasing
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, or business administration
- Master’s degree in supply chain management
- Certification in APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) or similar
- Proficiency in material planning software and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE
- Experience in material planning and purchasing in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Experience with international sourcing and procurement
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- English communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
