About the role

Why Hearst Autos?

Hearst Autos connects car buyers, owners, and enthusiasts to the information they need, the experiences they crave, and the vehicles they love. As a division of Hearst Magazines, we offer the best of both worlds: a nimble, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment coupled with the career development opportunities and perks of an established company.

Bring a Trailer is part of the Hearst Autos family. BaT Auctions are the best way to buy and sell classic, collector, and enthusiast vehicles. We curate vehicles submitted by our audience and craft transparent auction listings that present the vehicles as they are—without superlatives or dubious used-car-lot language. BaT's ever-growing community of knowledgeable users vets each listing so potential buyers can bid with confidence.

Your Impact

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to build and expand on the experiences and tools powering the community, marketplace, and operations of the world’s foremost curated automotive auction marketplace and auto enthusiast community. You will report to the Director of Product and be responsible for BaT’s servicing and community ecosystem strategies, plans, and execution, in collaboration with your partners in Engineering and Product Design.

  • Use internal and external data to guide experimentation, decisions, opportunities and evaluation of success.
  • Partner with research, product design, and analytics teams to run quantitative experiments and analysis to test hypotheses and iteratively develop product capabilities.
  • Communicate strategy, platform health, capabilities, winning and losing experimentation, and insights to a wide audience.

What we look for

  • 6+ years of product management experience working in growth stage or large companies
  • Passion for and interest in the car enthusiast community and industry

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate customer problems and drive alignment with cross-functional teams and leadership
  • An analytical metrics-based approach to identifying, sizing, and solving problems
  • Experience managing technical software products from kick-off to post-launch
  • Excellent at identifying and prioritizing high impact initiatives
