We are hiring a Shipping Supervisor to join our team!
Job Type: Full Time
Schedule: 2:30pm – 11:30pm
What You’ll Do
The Shipping Supervisor will facilitate the picking/selection, verification, and staging of outgoing materials. Responsibilities will include operating equipment in a safe manner, while maintaining a safe and clean working area and ensuring that our product is in perfect condition and ready for our customers.
Leadership

Supervise and coordinate the activities of Shipping associates.

Train, mentor, and evaluate Shipping associates to ensure high performance and adherence to standards.

Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service) to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues.

Determine staffing needs, schedule personnel, and assign job duties.

Interview, hire, and train new associates.

Implement succession planning for self and other critical roles on the team.

Promote a strong safety culture and ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Operations
-
Lead/manage outbound/shipping department associates.

Responsible for custody and safekeeping of outbound inventory.

Oversee outbound/outgoing inspections (when required), keeping shipping records, and forwarding relevant information to pertinent parties.

Interview, hire, and train new associates.

Ensure all on-time picking, selection, verification and staging of shipping materials.

Maintain daily objectives and ensure work goals are met in a timely manner.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties.

Perform other job-related duties, as needed.
What You’ll Bring
Education and/or Experience:
-
High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.

3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Requirements:

Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and reach trucks.

Ability to add and subtract units of measurement, using whole numbers.

Knowledge of warehouse technology including the use of RF guns and warehouse inventory software.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
